Charlie and Lanie's Rally to Cali

Just in case you missed us..

Well here we are in Pensacola Florida.  Sorry we are three states late on our blog..

Lets go back to Savannah Georgia.  It is definitely a beautiful city.

The first day we walked the entire city and saw everything we could; the River Walk with touristy shops and overly priced bars, cemeteries that you tour? Eerie

And even Santa..

That night we went to a bar J.J. Bonerz where we, and by we, I mean Charlie, kicked ass in trivia.. won enough beers to make the end of the night a blur.  The next day we woke up bright and early at 11am to wait in line at a restaurant called Mrs. Wilkes for an hour and a half.  Now before you go thinking we are nuts, let me tell you a little something about Mrs. Wilkes… the serving is family style, they have three main dishes and TWENTY side dishes that are in large bowls on the table that you sit at with nine people.  Everyone gets real friendly and shares some banging grub.  Some of the best fried chicken we have ever had and really great rice with sausage.

The Line At Mrs. Wilkes

The next morning we drove down I-95 to Florida.   On the way there was a Budweiser brewery where we had a tour, learned about blah blah blah and got free beer!

That night we stayed with my aunt Ellie and Uncle Tommy.   After meeting my Uncle, Charlie now wants a motorcycle and a mustache.  We’ll see.  Thanks to them we had a great dinner and and got the grand tour of Palm Coast Florida.

My Aunt Ellie and Uncle Tommy

Early the next morning we drove down to Orlando and with the help of my wonderful mother, her wonderful friend and her even wondererful daughter, got a chance to see Universal Studios and wait for it, wait for it… Harry Potter Land! It was an amazing time to be in Orlando because the longest line we had to wait in was 45 minutes with most rides being a 5-10 wait.  Forbidden Journey in Harry Potter land was the best roller coaster I have ever been on.  Now I may be biased bc I’m a serious fan, but even Charlie said it was a great ride.  We had a great time staying with my mom’s friend and spending time with my mom.  We were pleasantly surprised the next morning to find we had a 7 hour trip to Pensacola, Florida.

Awesome panoramic of Harry Potter Land- once you are in your are completely immersed and can't see out
I love this picture it makes it almost look like a movie
The Heist's at Hog's Head where we had beer only made in Harry Potter Land in Universal

Thank you to everyone who was very hospitable and is making this trip magical.

Off to New Orleans in the morning.  Buona Notte!
